Take a Stand Exhibition

23 - 29 JANUARY

The Anne Frank Trust UK is setting out to inspire visitors to Brent Cross with a new exhibition opening on 23 January 2012. Take A Stand showcases inspirational people such as Nelson Mandela, Rosa Parks, Ghandi, and Anne Frank who have shown moral courage against injustice and prejudice to help change the world.

What would you would like to take a stand against? Complete the survey on Facebook.

The exhibition aims to get people thinking about how they can take a stand against prejudice in their everyday lives, directly reflecting the national theme of Holocaust Memorial Day 2012, on 27 January, which is Speak Up, Speak Out.

The exhibition of photographs, inspirational quotes and stories celebrates well-known contemporary and historical figures and inspirational young people including winners of the prestigious Philip Lawrence Awards, which acknowledges young people who have made a difference to their community. The exhibition closes at 6.00pm on Sunday 29 January.

The exhibition aims to give people pause for thought and a chance to reflect on the issues of inequality which, regrettably, still impact on our everyday lives.  The aim is for visitors to leave inspired and uplifted by the knowledge that they can take a stand and make a difference.
