20 October 2004 HALLOWEEN HI-JINKS AT BRENT CROSS Screams of fright and 'oohs' and 'aahs' of delight will be heard around Brent Cross Shopping Centre during Halloween half term this year. The newly refurbished Centre Court is the place to be for Halloween hi-jinks this year when the free Halloween Film Club makes it debut. From 23 - 31 October shoppers of all ages can sit and watch ghostly goings-on on the big Sky plasma screens. All films will have a Halloween theme and will be suitable for young children. Wilson's Theme Park makes a welcome return to the NCR car park. Fun-seekers can have their tummies turned on the Wave Swinger, go dizzy on the Twister, laugh themselves silly in the fun house or scream like banshees on the Halloween Ghost Train. There are plenty of rides to entertain young and old alike, with favourites like the Carousel providing a more traditional fun-fair treat. Screams will turn to gasps of wonder as the sky above Brent Cross is illuminated by a spectacular firework display. The Theme Park is the ideal location to see the displays taking place at 7pm on 23 and 31 October. The Theme Park will open at 12 noon on weekends and 2pm on weekdays from 21 - 31 October. There is a £1 admission fee and the cost of the rides vary. Discount vouchers are available within Brent Cross Shopping Centre. Tom Nathan, Brent Cross' Commercial Director comments, 'With our great selection of over 115 stores, shops, restaurants and cafes, you may wonder why we provide our customers with additional entertainment and activities! The fact is that we see Brent Cross as more than just a shopping centre. We strive to make it a place where all the family can enjoy spending time here. Some of the activities we offer are firm favourites, such as Wilson's Theme Park, but we also aim to provide new entertainment like the Halloween film club which is sure to prove popular with our younger family members. We were delighted recently to host the inaugural UK concert of Australia's The Wiggles, who went down an absolute storm and had over 2000 parents and children dancing and singing along.' |
