LOCAL CHARITIES & SCHOOLS TO SHARE IN BRENT CROSS SHOPPING CENTRE'S 10,000 CHRISTMAS

In keeping with the giving spirit of Christmas, Brent Cross Shopping Centre has set aside £10,000 as a Christmas gift to local charities and schools.
To ensure the awards make a real difference within the Borough of Barnet, Brent Cross is inviting registered charities and/or schools in the area to write in. Their letter should be no more than one page long, give a few details about the charity/school and explain what the money would be used for and how/why it would make a difference.
Explains Tom Nathan, Commercial Director, Brent Cross: "We're very much a part of the local community and each year we raise many thousands of pounds for charities. Christmas is of course all about giving and this initiative enables Brent Cross to make a real difference within our local area at such an important time of the year."
If charities/schools want to take advantage of this initiative, they'll have to hurry, as Brent Cross would like to make the decisions concerning where the money will go by Christmas, with the awards being made early in 2005.
The address to write to is:- Marketing Department
Brent Cross Shopping Centre
London NW4 3FP
EDITOR'S NOTES: Brent Cross will not accept entries from religious or political groups, whether or not they are registered charities. The £10,000 is being donated by Brent Cross.
To request a donation, charities/schools should write in to the address above. Given the expected volume of correspondence, Brent Cross would prefer not to receive emails or telephone calls as part of the application process.
Entries will be judged by Brent Cross by Christmas 2004, with a view to making awards in early 2005.
