New service set to clean-up at Brent Cross

On Tuesday, May 31, Perkins Dry Cleaners, the oldest family-owned dry cleaners in the UK, is to open a flagship store at Brent Cross Shopping Centre in North London.

Situated between Shopmobility and New Look, Perkins Dry Cleaners is a

state-of-the-art service centre offering Brent Cross shoppers and employees a full range of services. These include dry cleaning, on-site alterations and repairs, a shirt service, and shoe repairs, all at prices comparable to high street dry cleaners. A two-piece suit, for example, will cost from £9.95.

For customers requiring more bespoke treatment, Perkins offers

'Ambassador Service', which includes hand finishing and a complimentary overnight bag.

Perkins can also cater for customers seeking an environmentally friendly solution to their cleaning needs, having installed the latest environmentally-friendly dry cleaning machine. Called 'Green Earth', the machine is the most advanced available on the market, and far exceeds the latest legislative requirements.

The new store, which is as large as many of the stores at Brent Cross, also has two fitting rooms and three dedicated customer parking spaces. It will be open from 1000 to 2000 on Monday to Friday, 0900 to 1900 on Saturday and 1100 to 1700 on Sunday. Perkins' range of services and facilities, together with its long opening hours, will provide customers with the highest levels of convenience and service.

According to research conducted by the centre management team, a dry cleaners is the one addition to Brent Cross requested most often by consumers. Consequently, Perkins will be meeting the needs of a large number of the Centre's visitors. Around one in three of the Centre's 18 million visitors a year go to Brent Cross more than once a week. The ability to drop off their clothes on one visit and collect them on the next a few days later will be of significant appeal. In addition, the 4,500 people working at Brent Cross will also benefit from Perkins' convenience, facilities and service.

Commenting on the opening, Gary Perkins, joint-managing director of

Perkins Dry Cleaners, said: "We are very excited about opening a dry cleaners at Brent Cross. We will provide visitors to the Centre with a convenient, high quality offer that means no wasted time. Customers can integrate their dry cleaning, alterations or shoe repairs with their shopping visit to Brent Cross. We will save people time.

"We are opening a state-of-the-art flagship, the like of which has not been seen before, here or in any other shopping centre."

Tom Nathan, Brent Cross general manager, added, "Perkins Dry Cleaners is a very welcome addition to Brent Cross. Customers have told us that they want a dry cleaners and we feel that Perkins will exceed their expectations in terms of the services on offer and the convenience that it affords. We are confident that it will be of enormous appeal to our customers and the 4,500 people working here."
