12 February 2006 You'd be barking mad to miss the best Chinese New Year Celebrations This year the Chinese community welcomes the Year of the Dog and Brent Cross is once again proud to host a cornucopia of dazzling Chinese New Year celebrations, in conjunction with natural remedies store Dr & Herbs, on Centre Court on 11 February 2006. The Bailing Chinese Arts Company will perform daring feats of acrobatics and magicians will astound and amaze with intriguing eye-deceiving tricks and illusions. There will also be colourful traditional puppet shows and musical interludes from the Peking opera. Of course, no Chinese celebration would be complete without the majestic Chinese Lion, which will dance its way through the malls. Shoppers born under the sign of the Dog will receive special treatment, as Brent Cross Dr & Herbs store is offering them exclusive 25% off body massages until 12 February. This includes anyone born in the years 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982 or 1994. Tom Nathan, General Manager at Brent Cross, says, 'We are delighted to be working with our Dr & Herbs store again to celebrate Chinese New Year in traditional exhuberant and colourful style.' One of the UK's most famous and illustrious 'Dogs' is Prince William, born in 1982. Others include Winston Churchill, Albert Einstein, singers Madonna and Michael Jackson. |
