Brent Cross Stop Smoking Clinic Launch

On 12 March Barnet Primary Care Trust (PCT) launched the first of a series of Stop Smoking Clinics in Brent Cross shopping centre.

The clinics will start from Monday 19 March, from 2-4pm and run every Monday until early June. This new initiative is working in partnership with Brent Cross after the success of the John Lewis Clinic at Brent Cross held at the end of last year.

Tom Nathan, General Manager for Brent Cross Shopping Centre, opened the launch with a welcome speech thanking the PCT for their support in this important public health initiative. He went on to encourage employees to use the opportunity to give up smoking, especially ahead of the smokefree legislation coming into force on 1 July.

Commenting on the clinic, Tom said, "Brent Cross takes the well-being of its staff very seriously and we want to do all we can to ensure that the centre is a healthy place to work. We fully support Barnet PCT's initiatives and wish all participants every success."

With over 2,000 staff and 250,000 members of the public visiting Brent Cross every week, this is a great opportunity for a large number of people to access help and information to aid them in their quit attempt
