At Brent Cross, PizzaExpress is redefining the restaurant experience for the 21st Century, focusing on food, service, design and acoustics.
The new layout puts food first, turning the kitchen into a performance area for pizza-making. Customers are invited to watch the pizzaiolos, who have been trained in the art of dough tossing, prepare their meal using the finest, freshest ingredients. New additions to the menu, such as the Alba pizza with calabrese sausage, ricotta and fennel seeds, sit alongside classic favourites the American Hot and Sloppy Giuseppe. Daytime treats, such as PizzaExpress' signature chocolate fudge cup cakes and new dough balls with nutella, make the perfect tea-time shopping break.
PizzaExpress has worked with an acoustics expert to design the restaurant to help reduce disruptive noise levels. One of the most effective new noise bashing features are acoustic panels that reduce the reverberation time of sound, creating a far more peaceful, comfortable environment for diners.
A dedicated kids area keeps children happy and entertained. A large communal drawing table has assorted pencils, a big paper roll, fun stencils and a wall for kid's drawings to be displayed. Children are invited to Play Dough hour, a regular session where they make and decorate shapes out of pizza dough.
Since PizzaExpress opened its first restaurant in Soho over 45 years ago, they've continued to serve great pizza in beautifully designed surroundings with friendly and efficient service.
