Are you looking for things to do in North London that do not depend on the weather?
Below are ten indoor days out worth your time, with Brent Cross as the easy starting point and the rest of North London a short hop away:
Location: Outside Brent Cross, Prince Charles Drive, NW4 3RW.

You and a few friends get locked into a themed room at Game Over with an hour on the clock, hunting down the clues and codes that open the way out.
Each room runs a different story, among them:
Children aged 10 and over can tackle most rooms, though the darker Nightmare Hotel is 16 and over only, and it’s worth checking if you have younger players with you.
➡️ It can be a solid option for a birthday. You can book here.
Location: Level 4 of the Red Car Park, Brent Cross Shopping Centre, London NW4 3FP.

TeamSport pairs electric go-karting with ten-pin bowling on Level 4 of the Red Car Park, so a single visit can cover both.
The karting runs across three tracks:
Apart from karting, you can find eight bowling lanes with digital scoring, along with pool tables and arcade games.
Food and a bar are available on-site as well, and there are party and corporate packages for groups.
➡️ Booking is online, and weekend race slots can go quickly.
Location: Outside Brent Cross, Prince Charles Drive, NW4 3BR.

Florescenza is a garden centre with fresh flowers, houseplants and pots, plus floral design, event work and home delivery.
Staff are on hand if you are planning an arrangement or a project at home.
Step-free access runs throughout, which makes it easy enough to manage with a buggy or wheelchair.
If the plan includes a wardrobe refresh, the main high-street names are all within a couple of minutes of each other on the Lower Mall in Brent Cross Shopping Centre:
Location: Lower Mall, Brent Cross, NW4 3FP.

Marks and Spencer is the all-rounder of the four, carrying womenswear, menswear, lingerie, food, gifting and homeware under one roof, with an M&S Café and Hot Food to Go for a quick bite.
In store you will also find free bra fittings, suit fitting appointments, a Bureau de Change and click and collect.
Location: Lower Mall, Brent Cross, NW4 3FP, opposite M&S.

District is Brent Cross Shopping Centre's street food hall, which is opposite M&S on the Lower Mall, with more than 130 seats and a line-up of independent kitchens to graze across.
You can find veggie, vegan, gluten-free and kids' options across most of the kitchens.
It works for a quick lunch between activities and for a longer sit-down alike.
Location: Brent Cross Shopping Centre, Unit E1C, Lower Mall 1, Ground Floor, Hendon, London, NW4 3FP.

For a bit of upkeep during or after shopping, Sia Beauty offers manicures, pedicures and a full nail bar.
Threading, brow shaping and waxing are the other mainstays if you want to be ready for your summer holiday, and the eye treatments include lash lifts, tints and lash extensions.
The team also does one-to-one consultations if you are not sure what you want.
Walk-ins are welcome, or you can book ahead and time it around the rest of the day.
Location: The Library at Willesden Green, second floor, 95 High Road, Willesden, London NW10 2SF.
Brent Museum covers the borough's history and the communities that have shaped it, through free displays that change across the year.
It occupies the second floor of The Library at Willesden Green, sharing the level with Brent Archives, where local and family-history research is open by appointment.
Entry is free, and the doors are open seven days a week, although do note that the Archive is not open on Monday and Sunday.
Location: Grahame Park Way, London NW9 5LL.
The RAF Museum packs more than a century of aviation into six hangars in Colindale, and it costs nothing to get in.
You can stand under full-size aircraft, climb into a Spitfire cockpit and follow the RAF from the first powered flights through to its work today.
Most of it is indoors, with an outdoor playground for drier days, so it holds up as a full day whatever the sky is doing.
Admission is free, though booking ahead is worth doing, and you’ll also save on parking by doing so.
➡️ Doors open at 10 AM daily, and the free tickets go faster than you would think at busy times.
Location: 95 High Road, Willesden, London NW10 2SF.
The Library at Willesden Green works as a cultural centre as much as a library.
Alongside the lending shelves there is a gallery, meeting and community rooms, a performance space and a learning centre, and it is free to join and use.
Members can borrow books and use the computers, while anyone can drop in for the free wifi, newspapers, magazines and a quiet desk for a couple of hours.
The building also houses Brent Museum and Brent Archives, and it keeps a steady run of events for all ages.
Location: Arkwright Road, London NW3 6DG.
Camden Arts Centre shows free contemporary art from a historic building in Hampstead, with a secluded garden attached.
The exhibitions are free and change through the year, so there is usually something new on the walls.
It also runs courses and workshops in subjects like ceramics, life drawing and printmaking, plus family sessions in the school holidays, although most need a booking and may carry a charge.
Once you are done in the galleries, the garden makes a good place to wind down.
➡️ The building shuts for works now and then, so we’d recommend you check the website before making the trip.
Most of what we went over is an easy hop from Brent Cross, which makes it a sensible base for an indoor day in North London.
Our Plan Your Visit page covers arriving by car, taxi, train, bus or bike.
Parking is free all year, so turning up with bags or a group is less hassle than heading into the centre of town, and EV drivers can charge on site through RAW Charging's points.
